Review of A Sweet Pea Chef’s Fish Tacos, plus D.I.Y. Corn Tortillas

Fish Tacos PlateIn high school, I played volleyball with the Sweet Pea Chef.  It wasn’t until we became Facebook friends that I realized that we had something else in common besides volleyball – cooking! Lacey is powerful force in the food blogging world.  I was amazed to find out that she has a cookbook and videos, and she has partnered with the likes of Tastemade. I was also pleased to discover that she married her high school sweetheart (and my art class buddy), Dustin.  They are such a fantastic couple.

I have pinned many of her recipes on Pinterest and have tried one of them once before.  But since I’ve been on a taco kick as of late, when I spied her Baja Fish Tacos recipe, I pinned it on my TO DO: Summer board and made them the same night. They also moved to my YUM board that same night. Wine Taste-off: Rosé

Wine Tasting 1Now that we’re grown-ups, my friends and I have become much more open to the drinking of wine.  We have also become much more snobbish about our wine.  Two Buck Chuck doesn’t cut it anymore.  But that doesn’t mean we are willing to drop all kinds of money on a bottle of wine either.  We strive to find as many affordable delicious wines as we can. Review of Mande’s Korean Inspired Tacos, plus Chili Lime Corn Recipe

Korean Pork TacosMy lovely friend from grad school, Mande, is one of my biggest blogging inspirations.  She blogs over at Klein Dot Co, and her bubbly personality comes through in every post. She takes amazing pictures and shares family-friendly recipes and crafts on her blog, and she does great themed posts like Taco Tuesday and Thirsty Thursday.  I wish I could be that organized!

I was on Pinterest when her post on Korean Inspired Pork Tacos caught my eye. We are not big meat-eaters, but I can’t resist fusion cooking, so I pinned it on my TO DO: Summer board. I made them recently, and man they were good! They definitely made a quick move to my YUM board! Continue reading
